We are delighted to announce the opening of the brand new Twyford Cookery School, and what a fantastic launch event it was! Old Twyfordian and Coombeshead Farm owner Tom Adams had the honour of raising the apron to mark the occasion before leading a masterclass with our pupils. On the menu? A delicious steamed marmalade pudding with custard, a true treat!
Tom brought his love of food and storytelling into the session, making it an unforgettable experience for our pupils as they explored new skills and flavours.
Starting this term, children in all prep school year groups have been enjoying taster sessions in the Cookery School, igniting their excitement for food and cooking. Even better, from September, weekly timetabled cookery lessons will be introduced for every year group, making cookery a key part of the curriculum and ensuring that every child can discover the joys of cooking.
We were also thrilled to unveil the new edition of The Twyfoodian, our very own cookbook. This edition features collections of recipes, old and new, that celebrate Twyford through food, and all proceeds will support our partnerships programme, benefiting local communities.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible. If you would like to purchase a copy of the cookbook please contact clawrence@twyfordschool.com (£25 per copy including postage).
