A special farewell to Mr Lafferty

What a truly special evening! We welcomed back over a hundred Alumni pupils ranging from 1991 Leavers through to 2020, parents and staff for drinks and canapes to celebrate Mr Lafferty’s extraordinary 38 years at Twyford. It was such a joy to see old friends reconnecting and memories shared across the generations.

After nearly four decades of service, we bid farewell to a teacher who has not only shaped the lives of countless Twyfordians – not just as Head of History, but also as Housemaster, Assistant Headmaster, Head of Year 8, School Magazine Editor, Head of Hornets and 1st XI Football Coach. More than an educator, Mr Lafferty has been a mentor, a role model and a source of inspiration.

We thank him for his dedication, compassion and enduring legacy, and we wish him the happiest and most well-deserved retirement.
